Sentences with multiple clauses

Skill 8: use other adverb connectors correctly

Adverb condition connector

If
In case
Providedعلى شرط / شريطة أن
Providing على شرط / شريطة أن
Unless
Whether ما إذا / إذا

Adverb contrast connector

Although
Even though على الرغم من
Though
While فى حين / بينما/ حتى
Whereas فى حين / حيث أن

Adverb manner connector

Asحسب ما / لما كان / على الرغم
In that

Adverb place connector

Where
Wherever
Ex:
Ahmed went to school even though he felt sick.
Even though Ahmed felt sick, he went to school.

Ahmed went to school(s     v)
 Even though (adverb connector)
 He felt sick (s     v).
In the first example the connector before comes in the middle of the sentence, and no comma (,) is used. In the second example the connector before comes at the beginning of the sentence. In this pattern, when the connector comes at the beginning of the sentence, a comma (,) is required in the middle of the sentence.
